Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.
REVELATION 21:1-4
The arguments made by the God deniers would have some credence if heaven were not made accessible to all through Jesus Christ. Yet even though the evidence from the research done by those in the various scientific disciplines points to intelligent design and thus a designer, they still deny the evidence, and their hearts are hardened to the degree that they will not repent. This will especially be true during the tribulation, even when the God deniers realize they are under the direct wrath of God. Thus, if we are seeing the signs come to pass, and the number of God deniers is growing by leaps and bounds, then the only rightful conclusion must be that the Day of the Lord is at hand.
Today, Christianity is the one “religion” that is viewed as negative by many. It is the one belief system that infuriates people like no other. People are more tolerant of Islam (which means “submission”) than they are of Christianity (which means “Christlike”). Jesus warned that we can expect to face hostility:
If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
JOHN 15:18-19
The rising dislike of Christianity—and thus Christians—is directly related to the increase of moral depravity in our world. We live in a time when the most intolerant people in society are those who demand Christians tolerate whatever others think is true. Yet they will not tolerate anyone who disagrees with them, especially Christians. This is why, during the tribulation, people will cry out to the rocks and mountains rather than repent of their sin—even though they realize the world is experiencing God’s wrath.
